What is a Third Account?
A Third Account is a new account designed to allow customers and businesses fund Sustainable Development Projects aligned with the UNDP framework. Loyalty brands will enable their customers redeem their unspent Loyalty Points, Rewards or Air Miles into their Third Account. Businesses can also reward customers by topping up their Third Account.
How do you load your Third Account?
Customers can 1. redeem a percentage of their Loyalty Points to their Third Account or 2. Loyalty brands can transfer expiring Points to your Third Account or 3. customers can top up their Third Account from their own bank or bank card and 4. business can directly engage customers with SDG Impact funds. Note once funds are added to your account they are exclusively used to fund SDG projects and cannot be withdrawn for personal use. A complete audit trail is provided and 100% of the funds transfer with no fees.
How does the Third Account create Sustainable Development Impacts? 
The Third Account uses the funds to create a "capital guarantee" which allows our partner Multilateral Development Banks to lend between 3X to 10X the "guarantee amount" at very low interest and long durations to SDG Projects. Without the capital guarantee these SDG projects would never get funded.   If the Third Account members contributed £10m then this would result in up to £100m worth of SDG projects being created.
Who can open a Third Account? 
Any living human being or registered business can open a Third Account. Think of your Third Account as "One Giant Account for Mankind."   
Can I cancel my Third Account with no penalties? 
Yes, you can cancel at anytime with no fees or penalties.   
What is a Multilateral Development Bank (MDB)?
Unlike private profit centric banks, a multilateral development bank (MDB) is a financial institution established by multiple member countries and falls under international law. The owners of 20 multilateral development banks are a national government and other international institutions and organizations. How safe are the Third Account funds? 
The Third Account funds are 100% transferred to a variety of Multilateral Development Banks with AAA ratings. The MDB is responsible for managing the funds and for creating the "capital guarantee" enabling it to lend between 3X to 10X the guarantee amount at very low interest and long durations to SDG Projects. 
Why would businesses load funds into my Third Account? 
We expect business especially Loyalty Brands will reward your Third Account with SDG Funds. Rather than buying a digital advert with Google, a business may see its better value to engage their customers showing them they care about Sustainability and so make a SDG Impact via your Third Account. Many businesses want to be Sustainable but also need to offer proof to their customers that they are not greenwashing which they can do using the Third Account.
What is a SDG 1% Impact Brand? 
These are businesses that enable their Third Account customers to opt in and tick their "Pay Sustainably" button [✔] which adds 0.125% to the purchase price resulting in funding worth 1% of the Purchase to fund SDG projects. A £100 purchase would mean £1 worth of SDG Impacts are enabled courtesy of the brand and their customer.
 An example of how to make a cost neutral £200 SDG Impact? 
By switching to paying bills using Open Banking rather than with their credit card our members could see 0.25% of the transaction value loaded into their Third Account by our partner brands.  On £10,000 worth of purchases this would mean £25 is added to their Third Account which gets amplified by 8X creating £200 worth of SDG Impacts.
 Are there opportunities for businesses who support the Third Account?   
In the near future, businesses that champion the Third Account and enable their customers to fund their SDG projects may be able to access these downstream SDG projects and tender their products and services. This creates a lead generation opportunity for the business which could result in them benefiting from the SDG economic activities.
